sentence 1: Taun sao

receiving energy

The guiding or receiving hand of Sifu Nom Tao, the Tau sao absorbs the energy of the opponents attack taking him or her off balance and open to a counter attack. Although the hand is not always present when this is done, the idea of receiving energy is involved everywhere in the wing tsun system. From defences to grabs to knife defence.

The heun tau teaches the ability to re-direct strength and energy and use it to your advantage to find gaps in your opponents defences. Allowing you to defeat your opponent through relaxation, instead of tension.
